Interlocking - Zinc
Interlocking is an elegant profile that creates modern aesthetics; Zinc creates freedom of expression in the design process.
Interlocking is a profile suitable for wall cladding only. It uses a concealed fixing system and can be roll formed in all materials. Being a rather elegant system, interlocking utilises modern profile designs to create modern aesthetics. Panels can be placed vertically, horizontally or diagonally, have the option to be curved and are installed with concealed screws and clips, creating deep express joints perfect for dramatic facades.
Some of its advantages include:
- Smooth, clean finish, with no visible fixings
- Minimal maintenance
- Ability to taper panels
- To reduce the chance of wind stress on high wind load applications, Polystyrene can be placed behind each panel
Zinc is a great material for both the environment and the longevity of a building. It is very malleable, meeting basically every
architectural demand and has been used by architects for over 160 years. Zinc provides solutions that less flexible materials cannot,
creating freedom of expression in designing the roof and cladding of a building. Due to its flexibility, Zinc allows for interesting
corners and angles in a variety of shapes. In terms of its environmental impact, Zinc is non-toxic, durable, 100% recyclable and requires
less energy to make than any other material.
